Hello everyone! Well, I wanted to start out by saying sorry for not writing a group email in so long! I haven´t had that much time to write in the past few weeks, but so many cool and weird things have happened and I want to share them with you guys! Ok first of all, about three sundays ago was stake conference for the stake iztapalapa that im in. And Elder Pedro X. Larreal from the 4th quorum of the seventy spoke. To wrap everything up, he was assigned from Russel M. Nelson to come and plached our stake. (In missionary terms ¨Planchar¨ means to literally iron, so he ironed us. Or in other words told us everything we are doing wrong and how to fix it) He showed the whole stake the area book for mexico. That is like all the numbers and graphs for the work in Mexico. Hey everyone!! Well, Elder Lozano and I had an interesting week! First of all going to start off with a cool thing that happned with two of our investigators, Alondra and Ariadne. So we have actually only had two cita´s (appointments with them) but they are really good. Well despite the fact that they have gages and tatoos all over their bodies, they are very willing to listen to us. So in our first two cita´s we taught about how to say a a prayer and faith in Jesus Christ. Which was actually perfect for what happned next! So the next day we had a cita with them at 6pm. But they said that they might not be there cause their uncle is sick. We knew their uncle was sick and in the hospital, but we went to the cita anyways. So as we are walking down the street to their house, my companion freaks out a bit because he saw a huge Virgin Maria outside of their house, along with flowers, candles and a bunch of people. Hey everyone! Well, today, the 7th of August, I reached 5 months! I can't believe how fast the time is going! But, all is well. Just like I wrote last week, I am still here in Oriente in Iztapalapa. Its going well, we are finding new investigators, and running into some very weird people. We met a guy this last week named Jorge, and he started talking about how the prophets of old like Noah and Moses were time travelers and that they live in the center of the sun. And that the Bible is an instruction book for aliens. Just some weird stuff, but i love it. This past week has been incredibly hot as well! I want to die! But it's okay, we buy a lot of ice cream! My favorite is frozen strawberry yogurt with another coating of some strawberry and then dipped in chocolate! I buy like three everyday! they are like 50 cents in dollars!!
